Will Northern Irish pensioners also receive the winter fuel payment?

After the announcement by the Chancellor , last week , that the Government had decided to reinstate the Winter Fuel Payment to 75% of Pensioners in England & Wales CSPA wrote to the Department for Communities ( DfC ) seeking urgent clarification on what is intended for Northern Ireland Pensioners.

DfC have now responded confirming that the DfC Minister Gordon Lyons MLA has confirmed that the Winter Fuel Payment will apply to Northern Ireland Pensioners in exactly the same way as it will operate in England & Wales.
