Members may have picked up that the Civil Service Pension Increase, for those Pensioners who are part of the UK Civil Service Pension Scheme, will be 3.8% from 6th April. Whilst, for some years now, the NICS Pension Scheme gets a similar/identical increase it is not automatic as there is a different approval mechanism. CSPA NI have written to Civil Service Pensions Branch (CSP) seeking an assurance that the parity arrangement will apply and seeking clarification on the timescale for an announcement to be made. In response CSP have advised that the approval is being sought and they hope this will be done by March. We will of course keep Members informed through this Website.
